Why Share Your Story?
Stories like yours help other churches see what's possible — and remind your congregation that their faithful presence matters.
Encourage Other Leaders
When pastors and lay leaders see concrete examples, they gain courage and practical ideas for their own context. Your story can spark new partnerships in places you may never visit.
Clarify Your Mission
Sharing invites your congregation to see their efforts as part of God's bigger work in your city. It helps name how your church is uniquely called to love neighbors in this season.
Getting Ready
What You'll Need to Share
You don't need a perfect program — just a real story of how your church is responding to a local need.
1. A Clear Local Story
One specific way your church is engaging the community: a food initiative, school partnership, reentry ministry, or neighborhood coalition.
2. A Few Details & Voices
Names of partners, key dates or milestones, and a quote or two from leaders or neighbors. If you don't have everything, we can follow up.
3. Optional Photos
Photos of your space, events, or neighborhood help others picture the story — but they're not required. Start with words, add photos later.
4. A Willingness to Be Honest
The most helpful stories include wins and challenges. You don't need everything figured out. Sharing what you're learning is just as powerful.
